Food Exhibition | Guizhou Specialty Agricultural Products Enter Russian Market for the First Time

2025.04.21

On the morning of April 10, a container truck loaded with Guizhou's specialty agricultural products slowly departed from Cengong County, marking the official shipment of the county's first batch of specialty goods to Russia this year. The shipment included premium agricultural products such as local specialty sea buckthorn candies, yellow peach preserves, and chili condiments. The Food Exhibition will offer more information about import and export.

On the same day, Cengong County also hosted the 2025 "Mountains and Seas Join Hands · Guizhou Products Go Global" International Trade Fair. During the signing ceremony, the Russia Guizhou Chamber of Commerce and local commercial institutions reached a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly establish a new cross-border agricultural product trade channel.

At the exhibition site, over 30 participating enterprises from the Qiandongnan region showcased a diverse array of specialty products. The exhibits included high-quality tea, specialty condiments, mushroom products, and other agricultural goods, as well as unique ethnic silverware, batik handicrafts, and daily necessities, fully demonstrating the new achievements in local industrial development and foreign trade potential.

The Food Exhibition notes that as one of Guizhou Province's first "Rural Foreign Trade" demonstration counties, Cengong County has been continuously promoting the export of its specialty agricultural products in recent years. Led by the local specialty Sizhou pomelo, the county's agricultural products have successfully entered multiple international markets. In 2023, Cengong County's Minfeng Agricultural Cooperative signed export contracts worth $4 million with countries including Russia and Kyrgyzstan. To meet business development needs, the cooperative has now been upgraded to Qianpin Trade Co., Ltd., further consolidating agricultural export resources. It is reported that the company has already secured overseas orders worth 50 million yuan this year.

Looking ahead, Cengong County plans to deepen cooperation with the Russia Guizhou Chamber of Commerce, focusing on expanding international sales channels and enhancing brand influence globally. At the same time, the county will continue to cultivate export-oriented enterprises with local characteristics and international competitiveness, promoting agricultural efficiency, increasing farmers' income, and supporting the implementation of rural revitalization strategies.
