International Food Exhibition | Vietnamese Tapioca Starch Special Train Arrives at Zhengzhou International Land Port

2025.04.21

On April 15, a China-Europe freight train fully loaded with premium Vietnamese tapioca starch slowly pulled into Zhengzhou International Land Port. This imported batch, procured by Henan Wanbang Premium Supply Chain Co., marks a new breakthrough in Zhengzhou's development as an international logistics hub. The International Food Exhibition will offer more information about import and export.

The International Food Exhibition notes that the newly launched Vietnam-Zhengzhou tapioca starch special train represents another significant achievement in Wanbang Group's deepening cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. The first batch of 20 special trains has arrived smoothly, with subsequent import volumes expected to grow continuously. A Wanbang Logistics City official stated this move will further strengthen Zhengzhou's position as an international logistics hub and contribute to building a unified national market.

As a leading enterprise specializing in ASEAN agricultural trade, Wanbang Group has been expanding its international cooperation in recent years. In September 2023, the company successfully transported Thai tropical fruits including durian and mangosteen to Zhengzhou via refrigerated trains. Currently, the group is actively promoting the establishment of overseas warehouses by ASEAN enterprises in Zhengzhou to create a regional agricultural product distribution center.

"We are committed to realizing our 'global sourcing, nationwide distribution' strategic layout," said a Wanbang Group representative. By establishing stable international supply chains, the initiative not only enriches domestic consumers' dining options but also enhances the stability and risk resilience of agricultural product supplies. The group will continue deepening economic and trade cooperation with ASEAN countries to bring more premium agricultural products to the Chinese market.

Industry experts noted that the successful operation of this tapioca starch special train not only provides high-quality raw materials for domestic food processing enterprises but also demonstrates Zhengzhou's logistics advantages as a key node city in the Belt and Road Initiative. With more international special trains being launched, Zhengzhou's hub status in international trade will be further elevated.
