Food Exhibition | Customs' "End-to-End Escort" Ensures Beijing Fruit and Vegetable Juice Goes Global

2025.04.01

Recently, 34.2 tons of concentrated white peach pulp were loaded for export to Japan, marking another milestone for Beijing Taihua Food and Beverage Co., Ltd. With comprehensive support from customs, the company's export competitiveness has significantly improved, achieving a 20% year-on-year increase in Q1 2025—a record high.

To date, the company has exported 966.2 tons of peach and hawthorn juices, worth $1.109 million, to Japan, South Korea, Russia, and beyond. Backed by advanced production lines and a 10,000-acre raw material base, Taihua boasts an annual capacity exceeding 10,000 tons, making it one of North China’s largest and most technologically advanced juice processors. There will also be plenty of strong companies at the Food Exhibition.

However, despite its premium products, the company initially struggled with export barriers. "Some countries impose strict rules on additives and labeling, and our unfamiliarity with international standards once led to delays or rejections," admitted the technical director.

Pinggu Customs stepped in, assigning experts to provide one-on-one guidance. For instance, to meet overseas turbidity standards, they recommended multi-stage filtration and optimized sterilization. These adjustments improved product stability by 20%.

The customs also introduced policy briefings on RCEP tariff benefits and labeling rules, resolving over 20 queries. Leveraging smart customs systems, e-certification issuance now takes just one hour. A "green channel" further cut clearance times by 35%, reducing logistics costs by 10%.

Today, Taihua’s peach product orders in South Korea have surged 50%, with new markets like Chile and Mongolia opening up. "Customs’ support gives us confidence to expand globally," said the export manager, noting plans to add five new juice varieties this year. The Food Exhibition will also offer you a variety of juices.

"Helping premium agricultural products go global is key to boosting Beijing’s trade," said Bai Moyin, Chief of Pinggu Customs. "We’ll keep refining smart customs solutions, using big data to preempt trade risks, and strengthening quality control to fuel rural revitalization and international agricultural cooperation."
