As the "Capital of China's Canned Food Industry," Fujian has achieved a strong start in its canned food exports. According to statistics from Xiamen Customs, from January to February 2025, Fujian Province exported canned food worth 430 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.1%, ranking second in the country in terms of export value. The China Food Exhibition learned that the main exports were vegetable cans such as canned white mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and asparagus, with a total export value of 330 million yuan, accounting for 75.3% of the province's total canned food exports during the same period.

The data shows that from January to February, Fujian's canned food was mainly exported to traditional markets such as the United States, Europe, Japan, and the United Kingdom, with a total export value of 190 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.4%, and accounting for 43.2% of the province's total canned food exports during the same period. The ASEAN region, as an emerging market, performed well. Fujian exported 110 million yuan to ASEAN during this period, a year-on-year increase of 22.5%, accounting for 25%.

According to an official from Xiamen Customs, private enterprises are the main force in Fujian's canned food exports, with a total export value of 380 million yuan from January to February, a year-on-year increase of 10.9%, and accounting for 87.1% of the province's total canned food exports during the same period. During the same period, foreign-invested enterprises in Fujian exported canned food worth 27.09 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 26.9%, accounting for 6.2%.

To help more Fujian canned food companies actively expand into international markets, Xiamen Customs strictly implements inspection and quarantine requirements for exported canned food, strengthens supervision over raw materials, production processing, and packaging, and ensures that products meet the standards of importing countries. At the same time, it adopts efficient and convenient service measures such as online appointments, priority inspections, and rapid testing to ensure the smooth export of "Fujian-flavored" canned products.
