SIAL CHINA, Asia's largest food and beverage exhibition,
is set to welcome international and domestic exhibitors and visitors to
Shanghai for its annual exhibition, May 17-19. Innovation and internationality
are core themes at SIAL China, which will be pushed even further, thanks to the
professional events such as SIAL Innovation and value added services like
Match-Making Service and BAB platform. At SIAL China 2017, there will be 13 halls, 149,500 sqm, four dedicated zones for meat, dairy, alcohol and beverage, and expecting a record number of 3,200 exhibitors and 80,000
professional visitors.
In SIAL China 2017, domestic pavilions from Gansu, Heilongjiang, Hunan,
Ningxia, Shandong, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Changchun, Dongguan, Huzhou, Ningbo,
Xiamen have been confirmed, and some domestic influential brands including
COFCO and Yili will attend as independent exhibitors. On the other hand, 18
countries including Argentina, Australia,Brazil, Canada, France, Germany,
Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Lithuania, Morocco, the Netherlands, Poland,
Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden,
Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Uruguay, and the US will host pavilions as well. As
this year’s Guest Country of Honor, Argentina will occupy pavilions in Hall
E3 and E7, covering more than 1,200
sqm, and will actively participating in multiple professional events at SIAL
China 2017.
SIAL
China events are important platforms to showcase the latest international
trends and products, receiving huge attentions from both domestic and
international participants. SIAL China’s industry recognized events will include
SIAL Innovation (Hall E3), La Cuisine (Hall W4), World Tour (Corridor to South Lobby), Retail and Hospitality Forum (Hall W1),
Tea Fashion (Hall E4), Chocolate World (Hall W2), Seafood Fest’ (Hall E6), and Wine Innovation Forum (Hall E4). Hosted
on May 17, SIAL Innovation Award Ceremony will attract attentions from media
and visitors. Gold/Silver/Bronze awards will go to winners representing the
latest industry innovations and trends; World Associations
of Chefs Societies (WACS) will bring cooking demonstrations to SIAL China
visitors at La Cuisine. As the Guest Country of Honor, Argentina would also
promote their high-quality beef at La Cuisine on May 17 and 18. The
International KamCha Competition, famous for showcasing Hong Kong-style
milk tea since 2009, will be held at SIAL China for the first
time as one of the official celebration events for the 20th anniversary of the
Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Final of the KamCha competition will
be on May 18 in Chocolate World.
To
further enhance the international cooperation and innovation at SIAL China, the
exhibition also offers e-business services, including Match-Making System and
BAB platform, to allow participants to connect with each other based on the
business interests. In 2016, 30,685 appointments have been initiated for 8,520
visitors and 2,702 exhibitors through the Match-Making System. In addition, the
SIAL China More Valuable Service – BAB platform uses artificial intelligence technology
to facilitate businesses for agents and alliances. Buyers who are sourcing
global direct food suppliers could leverage the electronic business matching
system and the industrial cluster data source on the BAB platform, to connect
with 200,000 specialty distributors in China.
Another
special highlight for SIAL China 2017 is the Landmark Biorigo Exhibition at E7
hall, where the famous Chinese and international special food originating from
protected destinations will be showcased. Unique Chinese and international
original brands, representing regional culture and history, could be found
there for domestic and global visitors.
